Since joining pH+ in 2021, Dan has been integral to the delivery of our Beresford Street student living project in Woolwich. More recently, Dan has been working with our special projects team to design a series of affordable Passivhaus standard homes.
Having studied at Newcastle his thesis gained distinction and commendation for its practice-led approach and open critical dialogue with the use of data in the industry. He currently teaches on the undergraduate course at Newcastle University as part of an ecological design studio with a focus on the climate emergency. Dan has a wealth of experience in the design and delivery of award-winning housing in the UK alongside experience in community and urban design projects. Notable projects include the renovation of the 11th Floor of Economist Tower, original design by Alison & Peter Smithson, planning Approval for a 26-storey Hybrid CLT tower on Deptford Creek and the conversion of a Barn in Norfolk.
With a keen interest in material and social sustainability he is a member of our in-office sustainability group. Dan is also a talented maker with carpentry experience fabricating projects in Kielder Forest, Northumberland and Cody Dock on River Lea.
His love for the outdoors means out of the office Dan will most likely be playing cricket, football or cycling around a park in Hackney.
