Planning Permission has been granted for the refurbishment and extension of an existing residential property on Hoxton Street, East London. The proposals add a new floor to the existing 3 storey terraced structure. The new construction at roof level, links to a further extension to the rear on the floor below, which in turn spills out onto a generous external terrace. The interiors will now be developed around a clearly defined circulation route incorporating 3 distinct types of stair, off which sit a series of simple, open spaces, the largest being 15m in length. We look forward to continuing discussions with our client, himself a designer, to develop and incorporate his refreshingly unconventional thoughts, on the use of both materials and space.
