Beacon Lodge is an imposing brick building dating from the mid 19th century, sitting within large, mature gardens in a densely residential area. A series of homes varying in size has been introduced, using modern detailing to create a striking, appropriate yet sensitively designed development within the conservation area.

The original building has been subdivided into three dwellings and carefully stripped of unsympathetic additions, while the large gap at the front of the building is now six maisonettes with private gardens spilling out into the communal garden beyond. To the rear of the site, a discrete garden pavilion dwelling looks over the garden wall, taking full advantage of its position next to the mature garden.
