John Ashton

Following several years’ experience running a variety of residential and leisure projects in London, John joined pH+ in 2015 to run one of the design teams in the Studio. His projects include C Potential, a specialist school for children with cerebral palsy, and mixed-use schemes such as Shore Road and Gladstone Parade.

His strengths include conceptual and technical design, along with a unique empathy for reconciling the requirements of clients, users, designers and contractors.

John’s award-winning final project “Inhabiting Infrastructures” at the Bartlett School of Architecture, was shortlisted for the Sheppard Robson’s Sustainability Prize, and published in both Blueprint magazine and the Bartlett Book of Ideas.

John is actively involved in architectural education as a first year design tutor at Oxford Brookes, and is a member of the RIBA international validation committee and RIBA East working group.
